Magic Carpet – The Naples Philharmonic Youth Symphonia performs at 11 a.m. March 30 in Daniels Pavilion at Artis— Naples. Gregg Anderson directs this intimate 45-minute concert with instrument demonstrations and a Q&A. Part of the Naples Philharmonic Magic Carpet Family Series, a program is designed for ages 3-9, to introduce them to the symphonia. This concert features strings. Piano Duel – The Naples Philharmonic Pops presents “Frankie Moreno and Tony DeSare: Dueling Pianos” through March 30 in Hayes Hall at Artis—Naples. Jazz Sounds – The Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra performs with special guest Eddie Henderson in a program called “All That Jazz” at 6 and 8:30 p.m. April 3 in Daniels Pavilion at Artis—Naples. Like many great musicians, jazz trumpeter Eddie Henderson first began practicing his instrument at a young age. Fortunately for him, his parents were friends with trumpet legend Miles Davis, whose musical influence and encouragement had a tremendous impact on him. Anecdotes & Arias – Gulfshore Opera presents “A Prelude to ‘Turandot’” at 7 p.m. April 6 at the Innovation Hotel.
