This weekend has a little bit of everything Southwest Florida does best. If you have been meaning to catch Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at Gulfshore Playhouse, Sunday is your last chance. It is a genuinely moving show, and the tickets are going fast. Saturday night, Duane Betts brings the Allman Brothers legacy to Arts Bonita in Bonita Springs — blues-driven Southern rock with real improvisation and real craft.
On the lighter side, the Reckless Saints play the Piazza at Mercato Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. — free, outdoors, and one of the more reliably good early-evening spots in Naples right now. Farmers markets are running strong Saturday morning from Third Street South to Vanderbilt to Bonita Springs. And if you are near Cape Coral, Tropicana Park opens Friday morning at 10 a.m. — a brand new waterfront public space with kayak launches, beach areas, and fitness trails. A big deal for that part of our community.
As always, the full list of live music, comedy, theater, and weekend events is below. Enjoy every minute of it.
