Chicago Symphony Orchestra – Visiting Orchestras Series, conducted by Riccardo Muti, Music Director Emeritus for Life. Experience two nights of exquisite music: Italian and Mediterranean-inspired works on Tuesday, including Donizetti, Verdi, Chabrier, Falla, and Golijov’s Megalopolis Suite; and Bellini, Schubert, and Tchaikovsky on Wednesday. Jazz History: Happy 100th! – Celebrate the lives and musical careers of jazz legends born in 1925, including Mel Tormé, Zoot Sims, Art Pepper, Oscar Peterson, and Roy Haynes, with Dr. Charles Bergeron, Professor of Jazz History at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Paul Taylor Dance Company with the Naples Philharmonic – A trio of masterpieces choreographed by Paul Taylor, including Sunset, Promethean Fire, and Scudorama.
