Between live music on the water, farmers markets at sunrise and a full slate of theater and art, Southwest Florida keeps its calendar just as full in July as it does in January. For anyone weighing a move here, weekends like this one are a preview of everyday life.

Theater lovers have one last chance to catch Les Misérables at The Naples Players, closing out the 2026-27 season opener with its final performances this weekend. Over at Arts Bonita, Disney's Frozen: The Broadway Musical also wraps its run Sunday afternoon. If holiday spirit sounds appealing in the middle of a Florida summer, Shangri-La Springs kicks off Christmas in July on Saturday, complete with festive décor, a seasonal menu and a visit from Santa.

Saturday morning starts early at the farmers markets. Third Street South, Vanderbilt, Bonita Springs and Cape Coral all open before 9 a.m., and Sunday brings the Pine Ridge Road and Sanibel Island markets. Sunday winds down with Cars and Cannolis at The Center Bar in Bonita Springs, a laid-back morning of Ferraris and Italian market fare, followed by Poolside Pilates at Compass Hotel by Margaritaville. Add in live music at more than a dozen restaurants and bars across the region each night, and it's easy to see why so many buyers tell us the lifestyle sold them before the house did.
