Farmer Mike’s 10th Annual Fall Festival is this weekend through the end of October in Bonita Springs and Fort Myers. Find your way through corn mazes, snack on bites from the farm’s N’Season Restaurant, explore the onsite vendor market and let the kids roam through a variety of activities and games for littles.
Find fright and delight at Fort Myers’ Calusa Nature Center with the annual Haunted Walk, which starts up again this weekend. Take a spooky tour along the center’s trails where scares lurk around each darkened corner. Parents, be warned, some this may be too scary for younger kids.
This is the first weekend of beloved Southwest Florida artist Paul Arsenault’s Reflections of South Florida: A 50 Year Art Adventure at Marco Island Historical Museum. The momentous exhibit marks the artists’ half-century of preserving local lore and history through plein air paintings and tile mosaics.
Grab your stein and make your way to Millennial Brewing Company for the first day of Oktoberfest. Back for its eighth year, this weekend festival highlights local German food vendors and house-brewed, German-style beers like the Märzen, DTF Festbier and Miami Vice Weissbier. Plus, test your might with a stein-holding competition, axe-throwing and multiple eating contests (think bratwurst, pretzels and schnitzel).
