If you have been wondering what there is to do in Naples, Florida in the summer, this weekend answers that question beautifully.
One of the things that surprises people most when they visit or move to Southwest Florida is how much is always happening. Live music, farmers markets, world-class arts, outdoor experiences, comedy, theater. Summer here is not a quiet season. It is just a warmer, slightly less crowded version of the magic that makes people fall in love with this place.
Here is what is on tap for June 12-14, 2026 across Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers and beyond.
Friday Night: Taj Farrant Takes the Stage in Bonita Springs

All Weekend: Grouper Fest, Orchids and Theater
Grouper Fest kicks off at Fort Myers Brewing Company this weekend and runs through three consecutive weekends. This first installment features the debut pour of their Mosaic Grouper beer, new festival merchandise and a lineup of local bands. Live music, food trucks and specialty beer releases make this a great destination for anyone looking for a relaxed, fun afternoon or evening.
All weekend through June 20, the Museum of the Everglades is presenting Growing Obsession, The Enchanting Story of Orchids in the Everglades. The exhibition blends photography, history and local lore exploring the rare blooms that thrive across Southwest Florida and the researchers and collectors whose passion helped shape one of the region's most enduring botanical stories.
Arts Bonita Actors Theatre presents The Laramie Project through Sunday. Written by Moisés Kaufman and built from interviews with residents of Laramie, Wyoming, the play examines community response to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard. It remains one of contemporary theater's most important works. Arts Bonita is a gem in the Southwest Florida arts community and this production is a reminder of the depth of cultural life available here year-round.
Why Southwest Florida is Different
People often ask me why so many of my clients, once they visit Naples or spend a summer here, end up making it permanent. Weekends like this one answer the question.
It is not just the weather, though the warm Gulf breezes and blue skies are hard to argue with. It is the fact that on any given Friday or Saturday night in Southwest Florida, you can choose between a world-class blues-rock concert, a candlelit string quartet, postseason hockey, a sunset farmers market, live music on a tiki deck on Marco Island, or a quiet morning at the Naples Botanical Garden. The caliber of experience here does not take a summer break.
People who have spent decades building a business or a career and are now thinking about what comes next find Southwest Florida compelling for exactly this reason. The quality of life here is not aspirational. It is actual.
