Things to Do in Naples and Southwest Florida This Weekend: June 19–21, 2026

If you have ever wondered what weekends look like in Southwest Florida, this one is a good example. Father's Day, Juneteenth, live music in multiple cities, outdoor events, wine tastings, and enough variety that you could fill three days without repeating yourself. Here is what is happening June 19–21 across Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Marco Island, and Fort Myers.

Friday, June 19 — Juneteenth + Live Music

Naples Botanical Garden is offering free admission Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in honor of Juneteenth. The garden's shaded paths and waterways make it one of the most peaceful spots in Naples, and this is a rare chance to walk through it at no cost. 4820 Bayshore Drive, Naples.

Billy Currington brings his 2026 tour to Hertz Arena in Estero at 8 p.m. The Grammy-nominated country artist has the kind of catalog that fills arenas with people who actually know every word. Tickets start at $35. 11000 Everblades Pkwy., Estero.

Derrick Dove & The Peacekeepers perform at Arts Bonita Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Award-winning Southern blues rock with real energy — the kind of show that makes you remember why live music matters. Tickets from $49. 10150 Bonita Beach Rd., Bonita Springs.

For wine lovers, Ambrosi & Sons is hosting a guided Corte Dei Venti wine tasting at 4:30 p.m. led by Italian wine expert Alessandro Nigrelli. Five wines from a family-owned Montalcino estate, including a Brunello di Montalcino side-by-side tasting, paired with antipasti. It's the kind of experience that feels like a trip to Tuscany without leaving the Gulf Coast.

Books on Third on Third Street South in Naples is throwing a Beach Reads & Rosé event from 6 to 9 p.m. — curated summer reading picks, rosé, and one of the prettiest streets in all of Florida as your backdrop.

The Fort Myers River District transforms into a live music corridor for Music Walk from 6 to 10 p.m. Local and regional musicians play throughout the historic downtown while galleries stay open, restaurants fill up, and the whole district hums.

Also Friday: The Stage Bonita Springs hosts an Elton John and Billy Joel tribute night, Kind Hearted Strangers plays a free show at Sugarshack Downtown in Bonita at 7 p.m., and comedy is live at both Off the Hook Comedy Cafe in Naples and Snappers Comedy Club in Fort Myers.

Open Studios in the Naples Art District runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving visitors behind-the-scenes access to working studios with painters, ceramicists, sculptors, and mixed-media artists. You can buy directly from the artist. It's one of the better kept secrets in Naples.

Movie Nights with the Big Cats at Kowiachobee Animal Preserve starts at 6:15 p.m. with an outdoor screening of Jurassic Park — surrounded by big cats, with a chance to meet Bubba and hold a baby caiman. Tickets are $10. 2861 4th Ave SE, Naples. This is the kind of only-in-Florida experience worth putting on the calendar.

Still Open This Weekend

Florida Contemporary at Artis Naples, The Baker Museum closes June 28. If you haven't seen the work of Naples artist Mally Khorasantchi and her peers, this weekend is one of your last chances.

Almost, Maine at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre also closes June 28. John Cariani's romantic comedy is funny, warm, and exactly the kind of evening that makes you glad you live somewhere with a dinner theater.

Inner Cartographies: Mapping the Self is on view through September 30 at Norris Community Center — free, open to the public, and worth the stop.

Coming Up: June 25

A Note From Diane

I have been in Southwest Florida for years, and I am still surprised by how much is happening here every single weekend — even in June. People assume the summer slows things down. It doesn't. It just changes the crowd a little.

If you are someone who has been thinking about what life here could look like — whether that's a second home for winters or a full-time move once you sell the business — weekends like this one are part of the answer.

I work with people in that exact season. Ready to start the next chapter. Not sure where to start when it comes to real estate here. I can help with that.
